WHAT IS PAD?

Americans for Justice in Palestine Action (AJP Action) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization advocating for legislation supporting the human rights of the Palestinian people and endorsing candidates for office who support those rights. This year, we’re excited to announce Palestine Advocacy Day 2025 (PAD) from Sunday, October 19th to Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, in Washington, DC.

PAD aims to educate students, community activists, and organizers – young and old – on civic engagement and policy work exclusively on the issue of Palestine.

WHY PAD?

  • Congress funds Israel’s weapons.

  • Silence from us = permission for them.

  • Consistent advocacy from us breaks Israel’s lobbyist monopoly.

  • Meeting directly with lawmakers and their staff puts faces to the numbers.

  • Every meeting builds a record of accountability.

  • Pressure in DC strengthens movements everywhere.

  • Congressional advocacy is a vital component of our movement within the U.S.

Fighting U.S. Complicity: 2 Years of #GazaGenocide

This October will mark two years since Israel launched its *ongoing* genocidal assault on Gaza, relentlessly bombarding, starving, and isolating over two million Palestinians. This is not a distant crisis. It is a U.S.-funded, U.S.-enabled catastrophe.

That’s why this year’s Palestine Advocacy Days are taking place from October 19-21 in Washington, D.C., with a clear focus on one message: Fighting U.S. Complicity.

We know none of this started on October 7th, but with full political and material support from our government, Israel has killed over 60,000 Palestinians, leveled entire neighborhoods, annihilated entire bloodlines, and turned Gaza into a graveyard in the last two years alone. The use of white phosphorus over densely populated areas. The targeting of journalists, medics, and aid convoys. The deliberate destruction of bakeries, universities, and the last remaining hospitals. Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Israel is doubling down on its settler-colonial agenda, and Palestinians are being displaced, assaulted, and imprisoned in record numbers under the cover of martial rule and settler violence. All of it made possible by U.S. weapons, vetoes, and diplomatic cover.

Even as our own democracy hangs by a thread, with the rise of authoritarianism, political violence, and the erosion of civil rights, the U.S. refuses to course-correct. Instead, it doubles down: shielding Israel from international accountability, sending billions in weapons, and justifying war crimes in the name of a “shared democracy” that doesn’t really exist, all while the rest of the world moves towards demanding accountability and condemning Israel.

what does pad offer?

  • Learn directly from experts in policy, organizing, and advocacy, gaining insights into the current political landscape relating to the occupation.

  • Receive a comprehensive Advocacy Manual with step-by-step guidance on scheduling and preparing for meetings with your members of Congress, plus clear talking points on Israel’s occupation and apartheid of Palestine/its genocide in Gaza, and how U.S. policy connects to Palestinian rights in the current moment.

  • Build community with advocates nationwide! Connect with like-minded individuals from across the country who share your commitment to justice and collective power.

  • Develop practical skills that will serve you beyond this event. Whether it’s how to effectively tell your story, frame issues for policymakers, or strengthen your confidence in lobbying spaces.

  • Shape the narrative in real-time by participating in coordinated advocacy that amplifies Palestinian voices and ensures our communities are represented on Capitol Hill.
