Over the past two and a half years, Israel has carried out the most extensively documented genocide in modern history. As this genocide and other crimes against humanity have unfolded across occupied Palestine, a growing number of people worldwide have been forced to confront the reality of the Israeli government’s actions. In the U.S., this has triggered an unprecedented shift in public opinion: for the first time since Israel’s establishment, a larger share of Americans now sympathize more with Palestinians than with Israel.
Now, we must turn that shift into concrete policy change. Our elected officials have a duty to serve their constituents, not to let a foreign government dictate policies that ignore public sentiment, divert resources from our communities at home, and bankroll a morally indefensible agenda.
In the lead-up to the 2026 congressional elections, Americans for Justice in Palestine Action is proud to endorse candidates whose positions reflect our core mission and principles. These are leaders committed to aligning U.S. policy with justice and human rights.
We’re excited to share our list of endorsed candidates with you, which will be announced on a rolling basis:
Junaid Ahmed (IL-08)
“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of Americans for Justice in Palestine Action. The devastation in Gaza demands moral leadership. We must end U.S. military aid that enables violations of international law, and stand for Palestinian human rights and self-determination. I will always fight for a foreign policy that reflects the values of justice, equality, and human dignity for all.” – Junaid Ahmed
We’re seeking leaders who will help translate the growing public demand for Palestinian rights into lasting political change. If you’re a current candidate, or know of one, and are interested in our endorsement, please fill out our questionnaire.
