Trump’s reckless actions are risking igniting another war in the Middle East and are threatening to drag the United States into an unnecessary war! A war desired by no one but Israel, and one that benefits no one but Netanyahu. The President bears primary responsibility for any consequences that may endanger U.S. national security and the safety of the American people. Congress, too, will share the blame if it fails to reclaim its constitutional authority, restrain the president, and prevent him from violating the Constitution by entangling the United States in a war that serves no American interest. It’s Congress’s responsibility to declare war, not the President!

The solution forward is not to widen wars and conflict, but to adopt a firm American stance that compels Israel to halt its destructive regional policies, end its genocidal assault on Gaza, and stop spreading chaos across the Middle East and the world.

We call on the President to immediately cease all military coordination with Israel, withdraw U.S. forces from this illegal war, and focus American power on diplomacy, de-escalation, and peace. We further demand that Congress act swiftly to pass the War Powers Resolution and block any unauthorized use of military force.

The American people did not choose this war. We refuse to be complicit in it.
